[Kdrama] ‘The Legendary Witch’ ep 22 ~recap/review/opinion~

Tae San sees the picture from Woo Seok’s office and he immediately recognizes him as being “Jin Woo”. Later Joo Ran appears at the company to give her husband the big news of Bo Kyung having a son, however when she wants to tell it to her father as well, the husband stops Joo Ran saying that Tae San isn’t in a good condition at the moment.

Meanwhile Bo Kyung appears at the Ma house to ask for forgiveness from Aeng Ran; Do Jin is set to not see her again however his mother tells them that they will have to talk about the issue another time. Still Bo Kyung tries again and asks Do Jin how he can be so cruel but he continues to shout at the girl telling her that she shouldn’t appear before his eyes ever again.

At the bakery everyone is happy as the women see Byul and Kang Daeng eating happily. A few seconds later Nr 911 appears and spoils their fun.

Joo Ran shares her happiness with Joo Hee as well, but the later one doesn’t seem interested in the news regarding Bo Kyung nor looks shocked. On the other hand Joo Hee is shocked to find out about Soo In’s new bakery.

Woo Seok goes out drinking with his office mates but as he drinks, he remembers when Soo In went to drink with him a few days before, yet one of his colleagues mistakes his smile as if he was smiling after seeing Joo Hee entering the room. The office colleagues asks when they will marry each other but before getting to say anything, Joo Hee goes forward and continues the joke with them rather than denying the rumors.

Joo Ran still wants to take revenge on Soo In so she starts loitering around the bakery telling possible customers that the women who run the bakery are former inmates. After putting her plan in action, Mr Tak appears taking Joo Ran by surprise. The two start talking about the earlier situation when Aeng Ran found out the news about Bo Kyung making Joo Ran feel ecstatic after remembering the woman’s face when she heard the news. After Joo Ran left, Mr Tak tells Soo In that he meet her in front of the store making the women at the bakery worry if she is planning something. The landlord comes to congratulate the 5 women for opening the bakery and since he also gave flowers to Poong Geum, she uses the opportunity to ‘make’ Mr Tak jealous that she can receive attention from any man she wants.

Joo Ran tries to tell Tae San again about Bo Kyung but he is still isn’t in the mood. Then he goes straight to Aeng Ran to ask her if Jin Woo did die in the fire and since she tells him that the boy indeed died, he thinks that maybe Jin Woo had a twin brother however Aeng Ran tells the man that there isn’t one.

Aeng Ran finds out from Wang that Won Jae, Joo Ran’s husband, told the man who was supposed to meet up with Woo Seok and inform him about the former factory not to say anything nor meet up. But Aeng Ran decides that they should also meet that man secretly – probably to make him come to their side and tell Woo Seok about the factory.

On their way back from hang out with other office people, Woo Seok tells Joo Hee that he didn’t stop her when she was asked about marring him so she won’t feel embarrassed however she needs to stop acting like a kid. Although (apparently) Joo Hee knows that the way she acts is wrong, the woman isn’t ready to stop. Back home, Woo Seok pays a visit to Soo In, however he just watched her from outside the window. At home, Woo Seok is welcomed by Bok Nyeo who refuses to take his advice of decrease some of her own work to go out on dates with Yi Moon saying that when her husband turn their bakery into a factory she used to work 10 times more.

Do Jin is out buying warm clothes for Mi Oh but shortly after Bo Kyung calls him to talk about their situation, even so he isn’t in the mood speak with her. Bo Kyung tries to tell him that their marriage may be advantageous for both yet Do Jin doesn’t want to hear about it and just calls her crazy as he hangs up. Then he goes to Soo In’s bakery to help him with Mi Oh since he already broke off the engagement.

When Soo In arrives home, she is decided to tell Mi Oh about Do Jin’s marriage being cut off saying that she hopes for the two to work things out between them – she also hands Mi Oh the clothes that Do Jin got for her.

Bok Nyeo is fighting with Mr 911 after she saw the woman hanging on Yi Moon – more like Mr 911 fell and Yi Moon helped her. Fortunately before things got bigger, Soo In and Mi Oh step in and split the two.

Byul gives her father a bread from Soo In – thinking that Soo In prepared the bread specially for him, the man proceeds into asking Byul various questions such as “what she said when she gave you the bread?” or “did she left you with a message for me?”, unfortunately for him the girl breaks his illusions as she says that there wasn’t anything like that and in fact she is the one who told Soo In about his favorite bread so Soo In just handed her some for Woo Seok.

Tae San is still concerned that Woo Seok may be Jin Woo especially after Joo Ran’s ‘investigation’. To keep Woo Seok from finding the truth, Tae San decides to send him away in a business trip.

Aeng Ran rethinks everything that happened until now as she has to decide her next step. Next morning at the bakery, Soo In sees her bakery filled with graffiti and messages that notify people about the 4 women being former inmates. She calls Bok Nyeo and the others rush to the store to see what happened with it. Some women from the neighborhood appear and threaten that the bakery made by some inmates will lower the price of land so they all should leave. Yi Moon can’t take it anymore and defends the Bok Nyeo and the others but since the big mouths of the neighborhood weren’t closing their mouths, Poong Geum and Nr 911 come up with a plan – throw flour at them. After being worked out, Bok Nyeo starts feeling dizzy and the others take her in the store.

Inside the store, Poong Geum seems to hunch who may be the real culprit behind this new incident – Joo Ran since she also did it in the past moreover Mr Tak did saw her loitering outside the bakery.

Joo Ran still can’t hide her happiness in regards of Do Jin’s broke engagement but Aeng Ran appears to tell Dan Shim that she is going out but the woman asks Aeng Ran that if she is to meet Jin Woo’s mother. After Aeng Ran leaves, Joo Ran asks who is Jin Woo’s mother and Dan Shim answers that it’s a person to whom she has to give something really important but refuses to say what exactly.

Bo Kyung and her mother meet up with Aneg Ran to ask her to rethink the marriage since both Bo Kyung and Do Jin have a son of their own thus they need to cover up for each other. Also to sugar her, Bo Kyung’s mother gives Aeng Ran an envelope with her stocks to the Shinhwa Group. Aeng Ran wants to talk it out with Do Jin but he still refuses the marriage.

After meeting with Do Jin, Aeng Ran sees Joo Ran’s husband and later Wang tells her that Tae San told the other man to investigate Jin Woo’s death. Unfortunately there is no way for Tae San to confirm that Jin Woo’s is death since all the documents were lost in a fire.

The 4 former inmates are crying to clean up the windows of the shop and Poong Geum tells BoK Nyeo that she should start dressing better since Nr 911 may steal Yi Moon from her.

At the Ma house, Tae San asks Aeng Ran if she saw Jin Woo die with her own eyes but when he hears that she didn’t, the man jumps fast to the conclusion that the boy may be alive.

Meanwhile, Byul cries as she misses Woo Seok who is in a business trip, luckily Soo In comforts the girl saying that the father will come back with lots of gifts for her. When the girl asks if she also misses Woo Seok, Soo In answers that she also misses him.

A few days later, Woo Seok returns and Yi Moon takes Byul to the airport to welcome him. Unfortunately the bakery doesn’t have as many customers as it used after the recent incidents making Soo In concerned about it. Because she cuts her finger, Soo In rushes home and the moment she arrives the phone rings – on the other line, Soo In finds out that the plane Woo Seok took was in an accident and he is rushed to the hospital.

Concerned about him, she runs to the hospital where she sees a man full of bandages – seeing the scene Soo In reveals her feelings saying that she loves him while begging to wake up but the thing is that she mistook someone else for Woo Seok since he makes his appearance in the room calling out her name as he was safe. Even though he is clearly safe, the news shocked her and Soo In jumps out of the chair to hug Woo Seok.
